The service at the South Coast resort is one of the resorts standout features. The staff at the resort work really hard to make sure all of the guests vacations are running as smoothly as possible. At InspoVacay we believe that tipping should be baked into the cost of your vacation when youre planning. Although resorts do call out that tips and taxes are included in all of the resorts, its still a courtesy to tip the staff throughout your stay, so we highly recommend it.

The bungalows come with around-the-clock butler service, and your butler will draw a bubble, go get you ice cream at 2 am, schedule all of your activities, or anything else you need to make this a vacation of a lifetime.
I can honestly say Ive never had a private butler that was available to take care of my every need and boy could I get accustomed to this lifestyle.
Youll be provided with a smartphone so you can get ahold of your butler at any given time.

Best For Golf: Sandals Royal Plantation Or Sandals Ochi
If you cant wait to play a round or two on some of the best golf courses in Jamaica, then Sandals Royal Plantation and Sandals Ochi Beach Resort Jamaica are the way to go.
Sandals Royal Plantation and Sandals Ochi are just a 15 minute drive from Sandals Golf and Country Club in Ocho Rios. Shuttles from Ochi and Royal Plantation as well as greens fees are included if youre staying at one of those two properties.

Dozens Of Activities And Amenities
The resort itself is spacious and spread out, with seven restaurants, six bars, two swim-up bars, three pools, four whirlpools, and a large entertainment area. Lining the two mile stretch of beach, amenities and activities are sprinkled among the accommodations. The Dutch village is in the middle, while the French village the quietest and farthest from the main entertainment area and restaurants, but both villages are built around their own pools with swim-up bars and beach areas. The Italian village is large and spread out, and is closest to the main pool and the Venetian plaza lined with restaurants and shops. A wide variety of water and land sports are available, including snorkeling, sailing, waterskiing, paddleboarding, beach volleyball, tennis, croquet, and billiards. Scuba lessons are offered, and divers who are already certified can dive for free. The Red Lane Spa features a modern fitness center and a large assortment of treatments, and guests can also have their massages on the beach. A stage and entertainment area host a variety of events, including talent shows, live music, cocktail parties, and theme nights. The wedding lounge attendants can help guests plan their special day or anniversary events, and gazebos are located all along the beach for wedding sites and private dining. Additionally, the resort offers laundry and dry cleaning services, photographers, gift shops, money exchanges, and rentable beach cabanas.

We stayed at sandals south coast from December 2-9 for my partners 50th birthday celebration.The resort is welcoming and everyone we ran into was kind and went out of their way to ensure that our stay was great.Upon arrival Jeffroy greeted my partner with an awesome rendition of happy birthday and a bottle of champagne.There were some long wait times for the a La cart restaurants but that was what we expected. The service was top notch, our favourite restaurant was the Italian restaurant, shout out to Javal! He kept us laughing all week! The beach is beautiful, we walked the entire beach every morning after breakfast. The pools were all great. The hot tubs were nice and hot, some more than others, and they were in need of some repairs.The cafe was excellent, try the smoothies! We met some great people, and had a great week, we would definitely go again!If you are looking to relax, this is the place!This was our first stay at sandals, but it will not be our last, we booked a trip to the Royal sandals before we left.

Sandals South Coast is a luxurious adults-only all-inclusive in Jamaica nestled along a 2-mile stretch of pristine white beach amid a 500-acre nature preserve.
We recently visited and wanted to share what we learned about Sandals South Coast.
One of the reasons its such a honeymoon favorite is that it features uber-romantic accommodations like Over-the-Water Bungalows and Swim-Up Rondovals.

Sandals South Coast Resort Jamaica
A beautiful Caribbean all-inclusive resort located on the island of Jamaica, the Sandals South Coast resort, formally known as the Sandals Whitehouse European Village & Spa, is a paradise all on its own. Here guests will find a beautiful white sand beach stretching 2 miles long along with a lush nature preserve spanning 500 acres. The resort itself is spread out among 50 acres and is divided into distinctive European Villages, offering charm in every direction.
Guests will also find several pools here, including one that is detailed as Jamaicas largest. In addition, guests can take the opportunity to enjoy one of the resorts many water sports, including snorkeling and kayaking along with one of the nine different restaurants and a large spa. Because this resort acts on an all-inclusive basis, youll find that all on-site food and beverages are included, as well as the use of facilities and resort water sport equipment. However, rooms rates are higher for 1 and 2 night stays in comparison to those lasting 3 nights or longer.

Accommodations At Sandals South Coast
When it comes to choosing your room or suite, here are our recommendations based on your budget.
If you are not too concerned about your room, go with a room in the Italian village. These rooms are simple but better than the outdated French Village.
If your budget stretches a bit further, check out the newly renovated Dutch village where all the rooms have balconies with tranquility soaking tubs and the lower level has swim-up suites.
Next up are the Rondaval Suites, our preferred choice. Located in Rondoval Village, these suites feature a private patio with zero-entry access to the river pool plus a private plunge pool, spa-style bathrooms, and a Tranquility Soaking Tub for two. These romantic hideaways also come with butler service.
For the ultimate honeymoon luxury, choose an Over-the-Water Bungalow. These incredible suites are set around a heart-shaped walkway and perched over the stunning turquoise waters of the Caribbean.
The Over-the-Water Bungalows are the best accommodations at Sandals Resorts and give you direct access to those gorgeous waters from a large private deck that features a Tranquility Soaking Tub for two, an overwater hammock, loungers, outdoor shower, and swim-up platform. The beautiful interior has a see-through glass floor insert, a custom king-size bed, and a spa-like bathroom with a rain shower.
Is The Premium Status Worth It
At Sandals resorts there is three-level of room statuses on offer. Luxury included, which is the base offering. Club Sandals, which has some extra offerings and is their mid-range choice, and the Butler service option which is their most premium choice. Well, break down exactly what is included and which is our top recommendation below.
Club Sandals
As part of the Club Sandals experience, there are a number of additional benefits that you get access to. Things like a personal concierge service are available 24/7. Access to the Club Sandals lounge, where there is an elevated range of drinks available at the lounge and in your room.
Early check-in is also available with the Club Sandals level. Overall though, we wouldnt say that the benefits here necessarily warrant the additional cost. If you really want a certain type of room and it comes with Club Sandals access then be sure to make use of the amenities, but as a standalone offering, we dont think theres a huge amount of value.
Butler Service
This is definitely the standout offering from the premium status. Your butler can look after a number of things for you. Whether its reservations at a restaurant for the evening or securing your favorite sun lounger by the beach. They do it all.
At the start of the vacation, they provide you with their number to contact them for anything you may need. The butlers are super responsive and can do a range of tasks for you.

Perhaps surprisingly, there are not many resorts with overwater bungalows in the Caribbean there are only about a dozen or so. Luckily, if youre looking for a Sandals bungalow, Jamaica has 2 of them!
All Sandals Resorts overwater bungalows in Jamaica include personalized butler service, 24 hour room service and water taxi transfers at Royal Caribbean.
Sandals bungalows in Jamaica can be found at both Sandals South Coastand Sandals Royal Caribbean which have beautiful overwater bungalows.
Our favorite spot for overwater bungalows is Sandals Royal Caribbean as they are quite far removed from the mainland and offer a bit more privacy. They have a Balinese inspired theme with contemporary design, walk in rain showers and private plunge or infinity pools.
Bungalows at Sandals South Coast also feature contemporary design, glass floors for views of the ocean beneath and spa-style bathrooms. Theyre perfect for those in search of extra privacy and luxury. The bungalows at South Coast extend off the mainland, making it quicker and easier to join in on the resort activities if you choose.

Water is the inspiration for everything new at South Coast. It is Jamaicas only all-beachfront resort meaning all of the rooms and suites are beachfront, overlooking the the beautiful turquoise sea. The over-the-water bungalows feature water on all sides.
The bar Latitudes sits over the water and provides unique hammocks suspended over the sea. And of course the Over-The-Water Serenity Wedding Chapel offers a one-of-a-kind wedding venue. If you love to be beachfront then Sandals South Coast is definitely the resort for you.

Best For Beaches: Sandals Montego Bay Sandals South Coast Or Sandals Negril
If youre in much need of a beach vacation then youll want to have a look at which of the Sandals beaches Jamaica is going to be most what youre looking for.
Note: When there have been recent storms, especially during the rainy season in fall, water that is normally very clear can become a bit cloudy- but still the pretty blue.
Some of the Sandals all inclusive resorts in Jamaica are set on long stretches of beach, while others are clustered around secluded coves- all properties do include beach access. In Jamaica, the beaches are all public, but some are more easily accessed than others.
Our favorite Sandals beach in Jamaica is Sandals Montego Bay, as the water is crystal clear and the sand is soft all the way out. Its also a pretty private beach as access is difficult except from the water, so theres not really much for beach vendors.
Note: I feel the Sandals photos of the beach at Montego Bay are pretty accurate.
If long stretches of sandy beach is what youre after, then I recommend taking a closer look at Sandals South Coast which is set on 2 miles of one of Jamaicas most pristine white sand beaches, which is completely private with no other resorts, meaning miles of sand just to yourself! The water does have seagrass and gets a bit muddy and squishy about 10 feet out from the shore, which people sometimes complain about if they arent expecting it.
