Most shoe stores that specialize in exercise shoes will give you a shoe fitting service. This is more true of running shoes, than for other sports like basketball. With this, an employee will usually put you in a neutral shoe. They will then ask you to run on a treadmill for roughly 20 to 30 minutes, as this will let them see how the foot is landing. In order to determine your foot type, the easiest way is to check your arch height by taking the “wet test”To do this, wet both feet and stand on a paper bag for about 10 seconds.
