What Are Superga Sneakers
Superga is an Italian footwear brand that is best known for its classic 2750 Cotu Classic sneaker shown above. The design is over 100 years old but has been transformed over the years to feature new heights, fabrics, and weather-friendly options, too.
The Superga Cotu looks like a traditional sneaker but for some reason attracts a wider range of women including fashionistas, celebrities, even royalty. In fact, Kate Middleton was spotted wearing a pair at the London Marathon amongst other places.
Many years ago, I first saw a girl wearing a black pair of Supergas in Rome paired with a nice black romper. I couldnt believe how stylish they looked with her chic outfit.
The Superga Cotu sneaker seems more polished and put together than a traditional sneaker even though it looks so similar. Somehow theyre just different. Perhaps Supergas are the shoes you wear if you dont normally wear sneakers?
I should note that these sneakers come in a variety of styles, too. There are Superga slip on sneakers, Superga platform sneakers, and Superga white sneakers and they easy to pair with any outfit from your travel capsule wardrobe!

Tips For Packing Your Sneakers
Determining how to pack sneakers for travel can be difficult, especially if youre trying to pack light. To make it easier, start by choosing a container such as a shoe bag or a packing cube then pack according to your type of luggage.
Whether you have a front loading or top loadingbackpack, it is important to put your shoes in first, at the bottom. If youre planning to pack shoes in arolling carry-on, remember that its stands sideways so it is important to note how it functions when it is upright. Most often, your shoes will need to be packed close to the wheels, so that the luggage maintains its balance in transit.

Superga: The Italian Brand Of Shoes
The vulcanized rubber technology was invented at the end of the nineteenth century by Charles Goodyear, the American inventor has discovered that the latex obtained by some equatorial plants, if enriched with small percentages of sulfur and then heat-treated in the oven, is transformed into a substance, said vulcanized rubber, which proves perfectly resistant to mechanical stress and weathering.
After this discovery, many inventors and entrepreneurs throughout the industrialized world, began to exploit this invention.
Among them, Mr. Walter Martiny of Turin, which started in 1911 to manufacture vulcanized rubber products.
Initially his company took the name of “Walter Martiny Rubber Industry” then became “Superga” given the proximity to the famous basilica.
In the seventies, Superga starts production of branded footwear Superga Sport, characterized by the unmistakable mark of dovetail and in those years the league was named after beloved athletes like Adriano Panatta and Dino Zoff who, along with tennis Lea and other hazards, become the face of a popular advertising campaign.
In addition to advertising, Superga develops new products for sports, from basketball shoes to football ones, to the bicycle shoes and the G3 ski boots, developed in collaboration with the Munari company of Treviso.
Also on the Superga sea he has left its mark, creating a sailing shoe in 2007.

How To Wear Superga Sneakers
Im so glad I gave these shoes a shot and was able to share my Superga Sneaker review! I ended up wearing them all summer in England for cool days with minimal rain. They are ideal shoes for mild weather travels, cool summers, and light rain. They still hold up, despite my wearing them all over town just about every day.
Theyre ultra-stylish and seem to go well with all my clothing. Theyre also celebrity and blogger approved. For some reason, these sneakers have been the only exception to this rule.
I even tried fashionable leather sneakers, but they still didnt feel right. My classic Supergas in grey have somehow transcended my dislike of sneakers .

Are Superga Sneakers Good For Travel
As a traveler thats always looking to pack light, their weight instantly put me off. In fact, this was the only complaint our readers had about these shoes when they weighed in with their Superga sneakers review. They all said they were cute but they were heavy.
The weight almost stopped me from traveling with them, and Im so glad I didnt. I wanted to find out why so many women are in love with these shoes.
I wore them on the plane to and from my destination instead of packing them inside my suitcase. Because of this, their weight was no longer an issue for me as a traveler.
As Ive already mentioned, these shoes are stylish and well-loved by many. If youre happy with light support and comfortable yet casual chic shoes, theyre are a good option for travel!
However, if you need arch support, choose fromthese shoes instead!

Readers Agree: Superga Sneakers Are A Stylish Step Above Other Brands
I turned to our readers and asked them for their Superga reviews, which were mostly good. One reader says: I wore them in Italy in summer 2015, for almost two weeks. I put Dr. Scholls gel insoles in them and they were great I wore them two days straight for tons of walking at the World Expo.
But some readers felt that while they are cute to wear at home they were a little heavy for travel: My two cute pairs of Supergas stay home. Even with extra insoles, they are not comfy enough for me to do all day on my feet. Plus they are soooo much heavier to pack than other similar styles.
With mixed feedback, I decided to try them out for myself. This is my Superga sneakers review:
