“RAFFLE” IS A TERM OF ART, AND NOT A LEGAL DEFINITION
The legal definition of “raffle” is a game or contest that includes three elements: consideration, chance, and a prize. In Hibbett’s Shoe Launch Raffle, there is no consideration required. In other words, a customer is not required to make any payment or give anything of value to Hibbett in order to participate. The Hibbett Shoe Launch Raffle is free and open to United States residents 13 years old or older with a valid form of identification. Additionally, there is no prize given to those who are selected. Rather, those selected are granted eligibility to purchase launch shoes of their choosing as specified in their registration at their expense, and nothing more.
