Top 4 No Bull Shoes Reviewed
Picking the right pair of training shoes is not the same as checking out shoes for working or casual hangouts. Today in this No Bull Shoes review, we are going to check out some of the best training shoes on the market.
Training shoes are meant to be worn for long hours, and they also go through a lot more than what casual shoes usually go through. For example, unlike with training shoes, you probably will not be running for miles with your street sneakers on.
These kinds of trainers shoes are also more appropriate for gym and sports enthusiasts due to their flexibility and versatility. On top of that, most trainer shoes are so special quality that they can pretty much last you for years .

How Nobull A Training Shoe Brand Nabbed Nfl Quarterback Mac Jones As An Athlete Partner
Nobull may be on the smaller side of footwear brands. But the private company is already building up an impressive roster of elite athlete partnerships.
On Monday, the Boston-based company said it had signed NFL quarterback Mac Jones, who was announced as the starting quarterback for the New England Patriots on Tuesday. Jones joins the companys eclectic and high-profile group of professional athlete sponsors, including quarterback Will Grier, who was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, and the seven-time Olympic Gold medal swimmer Caeleb Dressel, who just earned five gold medals at the Tokyo Olympics this year.
More from Footwear News
Nobulls strategy for athlete partnerships is not guided by sport, rather by a desire to work with athletes that train hard and live their lives according to Nobulls philosophy of never giving up.
Its all about training, explained Nobull CMO Todd Meleney. Whether you are on the PGA Tour or a professional tennis player or an NFL quarterback, training is the key ingredient to success. And thats what we have built our ethos on.
Nobulls no-nonsense mission was what initially attracted Jones to the brand. He had already been a loyal customer, even before he was drafted.

What Do I Think About The Nobull Trainer
Theses shoes perform so well for intense cross training sessions.
They are made to tackle any and all WOD sessions, easily and effortlessly.
They do not have much features, but they do have support, durability, stability, comfort and flexibility.
All of these put together make up a great cross training shoe, and they are some of the better shoes out there at this price point.
For some reason people think they are lifting shoes, so they put 500+ pounds on the bar and performance goes out the window.
They compress under extremely heavy loads.
If you want a shoe that can actually withstand these loads you will need to get a weightlifting shoe .
Otherwise do I recommend the NOBULL Trainer?
Hell yeah I do.
They perform incredibly well for cross training exercises and will last at least a couple years.

What Is Nobull Crossfit
NOBULL, like CrossFit, stands for hard work, with no excuses or shortcuts. NOBULL, like CrossFit, has a philosophy that is simple, elegant, and astonishingly effective at its core. When two companies aligned behind the same core principles come together, it doesnt feel like a deal. It feels like a union.
Harsh Negatives Of Nobull Lifters
As much as the NOBULL Lifters provide benefits when youre pushing heavy loads, theyre not all sunshine and ponies. On the contrary, there are a couple things that I dont like about these shoes that could be possible deal-breakers.
1. Theyre Expensive
This is the elephant in the room, and its difficult to overlook. NOBULL Lifters are obviously more expensive than most weightlifting or powerlifting squat shoes.
On average, you can expect most weightlifting shoes to range from $50-150 depending on the brand, build, and endorsements behind them. The fact that the Lifters start at almost twice the average range max is a pretty confusing.
Sure, theyre carefully crafted, and have high-quality materials, but geez. Almost $300 for a pair of shoes? For me, thats a deal-breaker.
2. Tight Toe Box
Almost just as important as the price of these shoes is the amount of room they provide. You dont want to cram your feet into a pair of workout sneakers just because they promise some performance benefits. Developing bunions and blisters isnt going to help anything in the long term.
One of the common issues with the NOBULL Lifters is the tight toe box. Its important for the toe box to be at least a little roomy so that it supports your natural toe splay and movement caused by your bodys natural foot adjustments.

Our Analysis And Test Results
“Is it ok if I touch them?” was heard more than once when we brought the NOBULL Lifters to the gym for the first time. Being new to the market and with a price tag of $300 these shoes are not commonly seen yet in CrossFit gyms, so the excitement was palpable. You can see and feel the high quality of craftsmanship once you get your hands on these shoes.

Review: Nobull Superfabric Trainers
This week we take a moment to review a pair of NOBULL Superfabric Trainers.
Item: NOBULL Superfabric TrainersPurchase:www.NoBullProject.com
NOBULL is a relatively new company in the CrossFit world. Launched in 2015, theyve only been around for three years compared to some of the bigger brands like Reebok and Nike that have been established for decades. I must admit, I am a diehard fan of the Reebok Nanos, especially the Nano 6s. But of course, new brands always intrigue me and NOBULL has made quite an impression on athletes, so I was excited to try them out.
NOBULLs success is largely due to their simplicity. Simple designs and technologies are what draw athletes to this brand. They dont believe in gimmicks, they only promise to produce a solid, reliable shoe to keep up with hard working athletes. The features built into the shoe to accomplish this are impressive on paper and in practice:
- A one-piece, seamless upper made of SuperFabric® a durable, breathable, and abrasion resistant material
- High carbon lateral and medial guards for added protection on sidewalls
- Medial rope grip for extra secure footing on rope climbs
- Outsole lug pattern designed for multi-environment uses, allowing for easy transition between inside and outside with the right blend of flexibility, traction and support
- Strong heel cup, keeping your foot in place during heavy lifts
About The Nobull Brand
NOBULL has been manufacturing high-quality cross-training shoes for years. The most notable sneakers in their catalog are the Standard Trainers and the High Top Trainers which are common picks for CrossFit training. But after being in the cross-training market, they came out with the NOBULL Lifters, a dedicated weightlifting shoe designed specifically to improve performance on heavy compound lifts like squats and deadlifts.
There are a few things that the NOBULL brand is known for:
- Very high quality materials
- High attention to design detail
- Premium footwear with a higher price tag than most similar options
While the first two points are definitely the strengths of the shoe brand, the third point is often posed as a weakness considering just how high of a price tag these shoes sometimes sell for.
And if youre curious, you can take a look at the best NOBULL shoes for cross training and weightlifting right here.

Things That Suck About Nobull Shoes Pros And Cons
You cant make a good choice if you do not have all the information.
You need to know what makes a trainer good and what parts of it suck, to decide if the good outweighs the bad and you want to buy.
First, we will talk about what makes Nobull shoes suck.
One of the biggest problems with these shoes is not being able to try them on first.
Purchasing from their website is great, but it does not allow you to feel the shoe and walk around in it before buying.
Some people have said had they been able to try Nobull shoes on first, they would not have purchased them.
Although there are people who swear by these shoes, there are some who think they are more hype than substance.
If you look at the Nobull website, it is clear to see that they focus a lot on style. While there is nothing wrong with wanting to look stylish, it is better to choose performance and comfort over aesthetics.
None of the above makes Nobull shoes suck as a whole, but they are important to consider.
You need to know if the trainers you are buying are going to work for you or simply become a nice accessory to wear.

What Is The Nobull Project
Because NOBULL is a footwear, apparel and accessory brand for people who train hard and dont believe in excuses, their project is a continuation of these ideals.
Their events, movies, athlete seminars and even art events are branched under the wider NOBULL Project umbrella.
The NOBULL Project encompasses all the principles of the company and the athletes that make up their team.
This is a distinguished roster including Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr, Katrin Davidsdottir and Sam Dancer amongst many others.

What They Are Not
The NOBULL Trainers are not running shoes.
Theyre for short distance running if youre workout requires it, but they are not going to treat you well for long distances.
Over 1 mile theyll hurt your feet. They do not have enough cushioning, nor do they flex in the right places.
Running shoes have just the right amount of features, technology, cushioning, and flexibility.
These are not made for it.
Keep them strictly for intense cross fit workouts and they will treat you well.
Are Nobull Sneakers Good
They feel great and offer support while also feeling super comfortable. The snug fit made me feel confident during my workouts, and I like that they look simple and badass. If youre into CrossFit or just starting out, Id definitely give Nobulls a try. Check out all the colors and designs they come in ahead.

Nobull High Top Sneakers
The NOBULL High Top Sneakers are also created from the ultra-durable SuperFabric®, built to withstand harsh weather, glass, and even barbed wire.
The material is uniquely breathable, keeping your feet cool and comfortable throughout any workout.
SuperFabric® guard plates are applied to a highly flexible, lightweight mesh base layer, giving you 360 degrees of protection AND freedom of movement.
The high-cut collar provides padding and a secure fit for movement in any direction. I found this to be supportive yet still effective for working out. It seems unusual at first to workout in high tops, but the added ankle support became useful after I got used to it.
The outsole lug pattern on the Trainer was designed for multi-environment usage, allowing for an easy transition between inside and outside with the right blend of flexibility, traction and support.
High carbon lateral and medial guards are included for added protection on sidewalls, and a reflective NOBULL logo provides added visibility and style.

The Matryx one-piece upper includes breathability, moisture wicking and abrasion resistance. The technical yarn includes Kevlar-backed medial and lateral support, reflection for visibility and padding for comfort and fit.
For us, it is always going back to performance, Wilson says. There are a lot of underfoot materials out there that perform really well, and we are not trying to create anything new and put a logo on it. The upper is so meaningful in training and trail running for all the abrasion we encounter. For us, it is always coming back to function and only putting on the shoe what is necessary.
NoBull has expanded its running line to offer a mix of materials on the upper.
The spread beyond CrossFit has come organically. With CrossFit fans training with runners, the crossover has come word-of-mouth. Trail running only extends the footprint.
Both Will and Caeleb were NoBull customers before being sponsored athlete, Wilson says. When we signed Will, we told him we are not focusing on what you do on the field on Sunday, but the work you put in every other day of the week.
Starting in CrossFit and weightlifting, NoBull has worked to capture the training market.
We are seeing a lot of growth as it relates to social media and consumer connection, Wilson says. We are connecting directly to consumers and finding these relationships are deep-rooted and meaningful.
