Wearing Nobull Trainer Shoes Walking And Everyday Activities
Kate tells me she wouldnt wear these shoes to just walk around all day. After taking her dogs on several walks in the NOBULL Trainers, she decided that although they were okay, they arent the most comfortable shoes for something recreational.
I know a lot of people who love NOBULL shoes so much that they wear them out socially or otherwise outside the gym.
For Kate, these arent those shoes. For Amanda, theyre shoes shell wear to go out for a casual dinner or to a bar where she knows shell be sitting for the most part. The simple design makes them great for matching with any outfit in her opinion.
Why Are Nobull Shoes Always Sold Out
Co-founders Marcus Wilson and Michael Schaeffer told CNBC that Nobull has seen explosive growth during the Covid pandemic. But that has also created supply-chain constraints and led to merchandise being out of stock. Nobull plans to use the fresh capital to help replenish inventories and speed its global expansion.
Nobull Trainer Upper Unit
Nobull Trainer Top
The NoBull trainer upper is made from a seamless one piece material, called SuperFabric, which is designed to be extremely durable, breathable and abrasion resistant.
This SuperFabric is a mesh, with tiny rubber textured guards to add to the durability.
Unlike the Nike Metcon and Reebok Nanos, the NoBull trainer doesnt have a full extended sole rope wrap extending around the sides of the upper to further protect it, but the rubber pattern protects the upper well from all it will encounter.
The tongue is made of a thin suede, with holes for ventilation. This felt very soft on the foot, causing no problems with rubbing or irritation.
The laces come up quite long which needed to be double knotted.
Two pairs of laces come as standard with the shoes, which is fortunate as the ones I have in there currently which came in the shoe have started to fray slightly from rubbing on the metal holes after a month of wearing.
Due to the simple style of the upper, the midfoot felt quite loose at times, but as I got used to this different style of training shoe it didnt bother me so much.
The heel counter is rigid for stability and padded at the top. From workouts to runs the shoe didnt rub at all. The external heel is also reinforced to eliminate wear down from handstand push ups.
The NoBull branding is printed on the side in reflective material which may or may not be a useful feature.
The same shoe also comes in a high top version, if thats your preference.

Nobull Shoes High Tops And Canvas
Theres also a High-Top Trainer model.
Its got all the great features of the regular shoe, but with the added stability of a high top. The high-cut collar provides padding and a secure fit for movement in any direction.
But otherwise all the same features the multi-environment lug outsole, reflective NOBULL logo for maximum visibility, 4mm heel to toe drop its all there.
Heres a new model with a perforated canvas upper for those that prefer it. Just like the SuperFabric version it offers durability and breathability but at a cheaper price point. Otherwise its got all the great features of the SuperFabric version of the Trainer.
Theres also a lighter color Sand Canvas option. It looks really nice. This view also shows the medial sole grip for rope climbs:
And lastly, there is a mid trainer version of the canvas shoe. Not as high as the high-top, but otherwise has all the great features including the perforated canvas upper.
A Quick Look At The Nobull Trainer Shoes
NOBULL has come a long way as a brand since its launch in 2015. What started as a new-age brand became the CrossFit Games title sponsor in 2021 with an impressive roster of sponsored athletesBrooke Wells, Katrin Davidsdottir, Scott Stallings, Will Greier, Tia-Claire Toomey, and Justin Medeiros, to name a few.
Since releasing the original NOBULL Trainers in 2015, the company has launched an entire apparel line as well as new types of shoes, including the NOBULL Runners,NOBULL Lifters, and NOBULL Trail Runners, as well as cycling shoes, golf shoes, and slides.
The shoes themselves, however, havent changed much at all. The Trainers in particular still sport the same design as they did six years ago. This is a good thing or a bad thing depending on who you ask.
The people who like these shoes really like them, and the people who dont like them really dont like them. There arent many people who feel totally neutral about NOBULL Trainers, and youll be hard-pressed to change someones mind about them.
- Be prepared for a flat-footed feeling at first. These have minimal cushioning.
- Have some patience with these. They may take a few workouts to break in due to the rigid upper made of seamless SuperFabric®.
- The design is similar to Converse All-Stars, but way more durable. If thats not your jam, consider the Reebok Nano X1s for more cushion.

Are NOBULL Trainers good for CrossFit?
NOBULL training shoes are great for CrossFit. Theyre durable and stable, which is exactly what you need for CrossFit workouts.
Are NOBULL Trainers good for Olympic weightlifting?
Some people like to wear NOBULL Trainers for Olympic lifts, but true weightlifting shoes will typically be the better choice for most people, especially if youre moving really heavy weight.
Are NOBULL Trainers good for running?
NOBULL Trainers are not good for running for most people, especially those used to cushioned running shoes with a thick midsole. Even running short distances in these training shoes might result in sore feet and poor running dynamics.
Are Nobull Shoes Good For Wide Feet
Some people do not have slender feet, whether they are male or female. Nobull Superfabric Trainers are undoubtedly comfortable, breathable, and lightweight, but there are some problem areas, as we have mentioned above.;
If you have a more narrow foot, youll be OK with Nobull trainers.
If your foot is on the wide side, you may find Nobull shoes to be too confining and tight.
Forcing your feet into shoes that are too narrow is only going to cause problems like hammertoe, bunions, corns, and calluses.;
Unfortunately, Nobull does not offer wide-width options. You may be able to get enough room by purchasing one half to one size larger, but this could lead to your foot slipping up and down in the shoe if the size is too much bigger.;
If you try them on and they do not fit, make sure to return them right away for a refund, they arent available in stores so you have to buy and return them if they dont fit, which is a bit of a pain when it comes to a shoe brand that you have never bought before.

Spoiler Heres What We Recommend
Believe it or not, NOBULL Lifters are not our top pick for a weightlifting shoe. While they are excellent shoes, the bottom line is theyre just too expensive to justify the purchase for the average CrossFitter. Heres the shoe we recommend instead:
Adidas Powerlift 4
- Designed specifically for weightlifting and pushing heavy loads
- Very stable and comfortable
Wearing Nobull Training Shoes For Lifting Weights
Unlike the Reebok Nano Xs and X1s, which I think are too cushioned for heavy lifting, the NOBULL Trainers are great for heavy squats, deadlifts, and even the Olympic lifts due to their super flat sole and minimal heel-to-toe drop.
True weightlifting shoes still provide better support and offer mobility assistance for Olympic weightlifting, but for the most part, Id recommend the NOBULL trainers for lifting weights. They feel great during all types of lifting, including powerlifting and bodybuilding workouts.
Between myself, Kate, and Amanda, weve worn NOBULL Trainers for just about any lift you can think of. They dont have as steep of a heel as, say, the Nike Metcons do, so they are particularly great for deadlifting.

Great Experience So Far
I can’t understand all the negative reviews – I have made 4 orders in the last month and all of the products have been top quality with ok despatch times. It was not so long ago that if you ordered anything from the US it would get stuck in customs and you would have to pay import fees but that is all taken care of now. The one mistake I made was ordering a pair of trainers in US 10.5 thinking it was UK 10.5 but luckily, due to a generous fit they are ok. Glad I did not have to return to the US as it would obviously be expensive. I have since learned that there is a UK website selling NO BULL – WIT-Fitness. They look like the offical UK seller. They do not have the full range of stock but there is plenty to choose from. My wife and I are happy with everything we have ordered so far and continue to use the US NO BULL site for items not available on WIT in the UK. Great experience so far, great quality and looks good.
High Top Nobull Trainers Vs Converse Price
As for price, there is a clear frontrunner and winner in this NOBULL vs Converse showdown. If youve ever looked at NOBULL Trainers before, then you likely already know theyre not very friendly on the wallet especially the high-top models. It doesnt help that Converse shoes are often made to be super affordable.

Can I Squat In Nobull Trainers
Yes you can low bar, high bar, front squat its all good. Its a flat shoe with a small 4mm heel to toe drop , so youre not going to get any help on getting low with ease in a squat. But the sole and midsole are rigid enough to ensure a stable platform for lifting. Time to work on that ankle flexibility.
It should be mentioned that many people find the NOBULL trainers less friendly for heavy weights when compared to the Nike Metcon 4s. The NOBULL Trainer is more flexible and comfortable it seems, but the Metcon is stiffer and better for weights. Its all trade-offs which area is most important to you?

You Cant Keep Them For Long
There are several different theories about when to retire running shoes. Some are based on mileage, others are based on age. But the long and short of it is that if the cushioning in the shoes is shot, you should replace them because they wont actually protect your joints as you exercise . You can test this by putting one hand inside the shoe and pressing your other hand on the sole. If you cant feel your fingers on either side, you should be fine.
I did this test for my Nikes, and they were actually fine. Theres still plenty of cushion left. But I still have to get rid of these sneakers because they smell too bad and make me gag a bit when I put them on, despite the fact that they work just fine.

Stylish Upper Has Its Shortcomings
One tester liked the Ripstop Runner for the times he had a run or workout on his schedule, but it wasnt his whole day. Unlike some running shoes, the sleek Ripstop transitioned inconspicuously from his workouts to casual weareven if that just meant looking stylish while checking off a to-do list or working long hours at a standing desk. The uppers perforated ripstop polyester repelled water well, dried quickly, and was both comfy and durable for a full day on his feet. However, the comfort for casual wear didnt translate as well to distance running. Testers noticed that the lacing bunched and the midfoot lockdown waned after several miles, and others also experienced chafing around the ankle collar. There was no rubbing on my toes during runs, though I did develop small blisters on the back of my Achilles from the limited padding, one tester said. These shoes were better for my strength training and riding the stationary bike.
I Kept Seeing Crossfit Friends Wearing Nobull Sneakers When I Tried Them I Knew Why

When I first started CrossFit, a good friend of mine was wearing Nobull trainers. I noticed them right away, not only because they were a gorgeous bright red, but because they were so simple and no-nonsense-looking, which I loved. Here’s what it says on the brand’s website that I just had to share: “Nobull is a footwear, apparel, and accessory brand for people who train hard and don’t believe in excuses. If you think gimmicks in your shoes make you a better athlete, Nobull is not for you. Our gear won’t make you fitter. The only thing that will make you fitter is you.” Hell yeah!
More and more athletes at my gym started lacing up with Nobulls, so I felt compelled to try them for myself. Here’s what I thought.

Nobull Training Shoes Construction And Materials
At this point Im beating a dead horse, but the NOBULL Trainers are some of the most durable shoes Ive ever worn. The outsole is constructed of carbon rubber, which can withstand rope climbs and outdoor elements.
The SuperFabric mesh lends itself to breathability without sacrificing durability. Theres a microsuede upper option, too, but Kate wasnt crazy about it. Regardless of which upper fabric you choose, the seamless one-piece construction remains constant, as does the suede tongue.
Here are a few other things myself and our product testers loved about the construction of the NOBULL trainers:
- The reinforced heel is ideal for staying strong during handstand push-ups
- Suede tongue eliminates rubbing and irritation on the top of the foot
- Anatomical sockliner molds to the shape of your foot after repeated use
- Medial rope grip provides extra protection against abrasion
- Reinforced sidewalls are also abrasion resistant
- Outsole lug pattern supports use in different outdoor elements, including mud and rain
- Very minimal midsole provides stability during highly dynamic exercises
At the end of the day, the NOBULL Trainer is a solid athletic shoe for CrossFit workouts.

Nobull Trainers In Summary
The NOBULL Trainer from NOBULL shoes is a good-looking, versatile, and comfortable shoe.
Made with SuperFabric they are tough. They are also designed to accommodate the kind of workouts required by CrossFit.
They are also very light-weight they are almost 2 full ounces lighter than the Nike Metcon 5 or Reebok Nano 9.
Many people buy these for casual wear but they are still versatile training shoes for the WOD, so give these shoes a try for your next workout.
And, this is the only pair of CrossFit Training shoes available in a mid-top and high-top version as well for those that prefer it.
Solid Grip Indoors And Out
Scalloped outsole lugs provide traction for cross-training that you wont get on a regular running shoe. The cross-hatched pattern allows for better sideways movement and grips better laterally to stabilize the foot when you land unpredictablylike when youre leaping for the top a box jump, prone to wobbling during jumping lunges and split squats, or simply hopping a curb or puddle on your run. Light and tacky underfoot, the outsole held firm from the pavement to the stationary bikes pedals, without feeling at all heavy or clunky. Youll especially appreciate that grip if youre still working out from a home gym, where you might encounter slick tile, cement, or wood rather than rubbery gym flooring.

Why Yeezys Are Expensive
Its only when Kanyes cult-like fans get their dirty little hands on these shoes that the prices increase.
Its the simple concept of supply and demand.
When Kanye releases a new shoe, he makes a limited number much smaller than the amount of people who want them.
So lets say 20000 people are waiting for the new Yeezys to come out, but he only releases 1000 of them.
Theres more demand than there is supply and it makes people fiend for them.
These shoes sell within a matter of minutes in all online stores and then relisted and sold for 5x more by those who could purchase them first.
