I typically pay about $6 for a pair of used mens shoes and $4 for youth pairs or bae sizes. Of course, it all depends on the brand of sneaker youre buying as well. You likely wont be able to find a pair of Jordans selling for less than $10, even at Goodwill.
Another factor that will determine the price you pay for used shoes is how much you can resell them for. As a general rule for used shoes, try to profit at least four times the amount you paid.
- If you paid $6 for a shoe, your profit should be around $24.
- If you paid $10 for a shoe, your profit should be around $40.
This rule wont work as much when you get to shoes worth more than $50, but if you have that much capital you should try reselling new sneakers instead.

Collectors know the biggest sneaker trends, join mailing lists, download apps and queue up at sneaker stores. Those who manage to blag themselves a pair will either keep them to wear, sell them immediately, or keep them in mint condition, often with an eye to selling at a later date when their value has increased exponentially.
The people who resell in-demand models immediately will often do so for a 200-300 per cent markup theyll buy them for £150-£200, and sell them for £400 or more. But then there are the resellers who hold onto or, if theyre lucky, come across an older limited release .

How To Clean Sneakers For Reselling
Suppose you want to list your shoes on a Yeezy resale site. If you simply upload pictures of worn-looking shoes, you wont get the price you demand. The best way to increase the value of your kicks is to clean them thoroughly and make them presentable. Keep these tips in mind:
- If the shoes are stinky, use baking soda as a deodorizer. Sprinkle baking soda in each shoe and let it sit overnight. Clean it in the morning.
- Use a hard-bristled brush to scrub any grime or dirt from the shoe. Be careful not to damage the fabric or leave scuff marks.
- Remove the remaining grime with a cloth.
