Yes, Golden Goose Superstar sneakers are comfortable! As long as you order the correct size , theres practically no break-in time with these sneakers. I wore them once or twice around the house, but overall, they were comfortable right out of the box. Ive never gotten a blister or sore spots with these shoes. The leather insole is higher than most sneakers, so they have some added cushion. Theyre wearable all day if youre commuting to an office, running errands, or working from a coffee shop, but I wouldnt walk in them consecutively for more than 2 or 3 hours.

Can You Compare Them To Vejas
I find my Vejas to run small and have more cushion, but I have only owned them about a month so I cant speak to what they look like in 4 years. I think if you are more classic, these are fantastic. Some people said the tongue was stiff and irritated them, but it didnt bother me and I never had to break mine in.

Would You Recommend Them
Yes! But I have a caveat to this I would try to find them on sale if you can. I think there are too many opportunities to get them on sale that its almost not worth it to buy them full price. Not to mention that theyre also just extravagantly expensive for a sneaker . I do think theyre worth a few hundred dollars though, because I dont see them going out of style anytime soon, as theyre made by a brand with a strong history and I honestly just keep seeing them more and more. Plus, theyre so darn comfortable and well made in Italy!
Overall, I would suggest finding a pair that speaks to your style and that you know youd get a lot of wear out of so that your price per wear is low and you know youll want to wear them for years. For me that involved a pair with pink and glitter , but even a more ~subtle~ or neutral option might be a good option too!

When chatting with yall on Instagram, several of you recommended the Purestar! After hearing about them being the most comfortable, I had to try them! Yall werent kidding! Of all three pairs, these are definitely the most comfortable straight out of the box. The insole has a memory-foam-like feel that is insanely comfortable. They are slightly heavier than the others, but if youre going strictly for comfort, these win!
Like the non-distressed Superstar, the style is a little more classic. Every version is all-white with a white star, but they do have several options for the back tab including glitter, blue, black, and the pink Im wearing! The platform is very on-trend without being overly clunky!

So, if I am actually calling out the Goose, what brands am I talking about?
Theres another brand thats similar in price to GG, but in my opinion way better.
That brand is P448. They usually run about $260 a pair, but are worth EVERY penny!
The styles are fun and trendy, the cushion is supportive but gives a bit more, they are generally in stock, sometimes have sales, and are available in many different stores.
I own 3 pairs and they are fun to dress up an otherwise normal outfit. You can wear them with jeans, skirts, dresses, and joggers. They are super versatile and comfy! I would recommend on these sizing down. These are also sized and sold in the European numbers, so make sure you know your normal size.
For reference, Im a 7.5 which is a 38.5 but in this brand, I wear a 38. In cycling shoes, I sized up to a 39 for a better fit, and they dont stretch like the P448 will. The P448 are made of leather, so they will stretch as you wear them.

I wear a 7 shoe and wear a 37 in Golden Goose with the exception of my first pair of high tops, I bought a 38. Even though all of mine are super comfortable and they do all fit slightly different from each other. This goes back to being handmade and hand distressed. Make sure you order from a reputable site that accepts returns in case you need to switch out sizes.
Price.
Even though I truly believe in cost per wear, its still not easy to hit the PAY button on such expensive sneakers. I get it, these are not for everyone and I certainly dont think they are a necessary purchase! If you love them and want a pair, go for it! You will love them! As with any item, dont feel the pressure to conform to fashion trends and spend money on things you dont REALLY REALLY love!
