I did this on the outside of my shoe, using the white string in my stitching to accent my black leather pieces .*Note: user Lukieh suggests that machine-sewing or saddle stitching would improve the durability of the shoe, wherever sewing is required. I wholeheartedly agree. The stitching in this instructable is done in haste primarily, so, without a sewing machine, I didn’t bother to saddle stitch.*
