Strappy Pumps So You’ll Always Have A Formal
Promising review: “If you have a wide foot, you will fall in love. I put this shoe on and wanted to cry. My feet are short and pretty wide with high arches. Shoes NEVER fit me correctly. Pumps always are too long by the time I find my width, and then are so painful to wear/hard to walk in. I ordered these in the ginger snakeskin and they are amazing. They fit me like a glove I literally felt like Cinderella. It is so hard to find reasonably priced and fashionable wide width dress shoes… not to mention so well made.” Chootie

Top Choice: Nike Mc Trainer
When it comes to performance for lifting and HIIT sessions, its really hard to fault the $70 USD price point of the Nike MC Trainer. This shoe has steadily grown as one of my top budget-friendly training shoe picks.
Besides its price point, there are multiple characteristics to like about the Nike MC Trainer. For starters, this midsole in this model provides a nice blend of stability and versatility. You can train heavily in these shoes and use them for plyometrics and sprints without beating the feet up too much.
I also like the full rubber outsole for durability and multi-directional training. Unlike other budget-friendly training shoes that lack full rubber outsoles, this models tread does an exceptional job on different surfaces and prolongs the lifespan of this shoe.
- Best For: HIIT Workouts and Lifting
- Heel-to-Toe Drop: Likely 4mm
- Weight: 10.1 oz
- Removable Insole: No

Always Read Reviews On Extra Wide Footwear
Whenever shopping online, I always read the reviews. I realize that not everyone has the same feet that I do.
However, when I hear complaints about toe boxes that are too narrow or heels that slips, then I know the shoes are not right for me. This saves me from spending moneyand wasting my timeon extra wide footwear thats likely not to fit my feet.
Ill also leave reviews when I find shoes that work well for my extra wide feet. Ill do the same with shoes that dont quite work.
I feel its my karmic duty to give back to other women with wide feet like me. It feels good to share information on comfortable womens shoes as well as the ones that I didnt like.

Lightweight Sneakers Because Your Feet Will Definitely Need To Breathe During The Hot Summer
Promising review: “I love my natives. I did struggle with the sizing as I have very wide feet, bunions, and little shoe options always. So annoying. However, my kids love their natives and I wanted to have my own. I’m a nanny, and I need hassle-free, universal shoes so I can be ready for whatever is in store for me. Im usually in-between sizes 7.5 and 8. The 8 is almost always too long for me but I need it for the width. Anyway, I had ordered a 7 first: too tight. The 8 was so much better. Since my feet are wide it took a few days to break in, but it finally gave. I hope if you have wide feet like me, this helps you with sizing! Id stick to your normal size. Even with my kids I had to stick to their current actual sizes are getting the next size was really too big. They flop around and the back comes up.” AMS

Best Running Shoes For Wide Feet
This article has been updated with current models for April 2022. The New Balance 1080V11 and Saucony Kinvara 12 have been replaced with their updated versions. The Brooks Hyperion Tempo has been removed. The Brooks Cascadia 16 and Saucony Ride 15 are new additions.
On one hand, snug-fitting running shoes have their place in a rotation. Lets say youre running track intervals or racing a 5K. In both cases, a secure upper fit is a prerequisite.
However, for high-mileage workouts or daily runs, an easygoing fit works far better. The feet increases in volume during long runs, so having an accommodating upper makes the ride experience enjoyable.
So how does one go about finding a running shoe with a spacious fit?
Some brands do a great job of offering optional widths. New Balance and Saucony, in particular, offer at least a wide for most of their running shoes. Asics and Brooks are catching up fast.
Though adidas now sells widths in some of their lower-priced products, and Nike does the same for a few of their popular models, the two shoe giants are nowhere close to New Balance or Brooks.
The problem with only a single width is that its based on the one-size-fits-all approach. Thats one of the reasons why it is so frustrating to find a shoe that fits and feels right footwear purchase is a highly personal choice.
And even if you found a pair that hugged your foot in secure comfort, that might change with the next years redesign.
Are There 4e Shoes For Women
There are two ways that women can buy 4E shoes. One, they can shop in the mens department for 4E sneakers. However, as I explained above, 4E would be extra-extra-extra wide for women.
Or, two, they can shop in stores or on websites that carry 4E shoes and cater to hard-to-fit feet. Your best bet is to reach out to a local podiatrist. Many have shoe stores on the premises.
Also, you may find a regional shoe store, not affiliated with a podiatrist, that carries 4E shoes for women. Recently, I came across one such store in Massachusetts. It even had ballet flats in widths up to 6E.

Promising review: “Excellent slippers! I normally wear a size 7.5 or 8 sneaker and I have a wide foot. I was worried about what size to get even though the online help for the perfect fit suggested an 8. I decided to get the size 9 and I feel like I won the lottery! These slippers are perfect in every way!!! I like to wear socks and there is plenty of room with or without and they are not sloppy because of the memory foam. The soles are durable and flexible. How We Selected These Shoes
Im a distance runner and regular reviewer of shoes and gear for Runners World. To choose this list, I used my own splay-toed experience running in these shoes, as well as the vast pool of data from the wider-footed runners in our Runners World wear-test group. To make sure I didnt miss any standout models, I also consulted Runners Worlds Deputy Editor, Jeff Dengate, and spoke with Ari Perez, Operating Partner of Fleet Feet Austin, who has spent approximately 15 years in the running industry. Ultimately, I settled on this list of eight shoes, which represents a mix of top models from brands known to have generous toeboxes, like Altra and Topo, as well as some of our favorite shoes that offer easy availability of wide and sometimes extra-wide sizes. If you need a running shoe with a wide toebox, one of the following models should work for you.
- Weight: 10.9oz
- Drop: 10mm
- Not the best for speedwork
- Weight: 8.9oz , 7.2oz
- Drop: 5mm
- Cushioning might be too firm for long distances
- Weight: 8.3 oz. , 6.7 oz.
- Drop: Zero

New Balance Fresh Foam 1080v11
- Price: $$$
- Pros: good fit for feet that need slightly more room than standard shoes provide, available in a lot of colors, ultra-cushioned lightweight ride
- Cons: pricier than other shoes, thick sole, may not be wide enough for really wide feet
New Balance tops the list of brands that specialize in wide feet. But sometimes, wide and W-wide shoes are too big for certain feet. And thats where the Fresh Foam 1080v11 comes in. This running shoe is designed for slightly wider than average feet, giving runners just a bit more room in the toe box, and its also available in wide sizes.
The New Balance Fresh Foam 1080v11 is also versatile, lightweight, and flexible. Plus, this stylish option boasts extra cushioning that cradles your foot from heel to toe, making it a top pick for long training runs, short distances, gym workouts, and daily use.
Customers rave about the comfort, stability, and support these shoes provide during daily use and while running. However, some find the fit not wide enough for extra-wide feet.

Promising Review: “I bought a pair of Escalante 2.5s on recommendation from my physical therapist after I started working on my chronic knee pain. I had spent many years running in Vibrams and was concerned about switching back to ‘standard’ shoes. The Escalantes are amazingly comfy, though. The zero-drop insole feels like a natural transition, and the broader toe box is a tremendous relief on my wide feet.”
