How to CRUSH IT Selling Used Shoes Online!

This place is amazing. This is my 3rd time here. They measure your feet, have you stand on a scale-type device that shows how much pressure you put on your feet, and have you walk so they can notice things you do that might be causing you problems. Then they bring out LOTS of options and really patiently help you try them and decide. There’s lots of space so you can really walk around. Naomi especially was just a star today. She was briefly on her own today with three customers, but never lost her poise and managed to give everyone the same level of quality service and knowledgeable advice. Every time I’ve been here, they always treat me respectfully and kindly, but she really impressed me today. Their shoes are high quality, help my poor feet feel much better, and last a long time, too!.

All I gotta say is that I left with happy feet!! Danielle was helpful, checked my gait, foot pressure map, explained that I have wider feet and got me a comfortable and supportive pair of shoes. Definitely coming back for foot care needs. I brought my mother here with arthritic deformities in her feet. Shirley assisted her with choosing the right kind of shoes that were much more comfortable than anything shes had before. Another visit with happy results!!

What Your Podiatrist Will Check

During an appointment, your podiatrist will take 3D images of each foot and do a thorough examination. That might include watching you walk and noting how your feet, ankles, legs, and hips move.

If you need orthotics, your podiatrist will make a precise mold of your feet. This is important to get the right fit. Once the mold is ready, a professional will turn it into rigid or soft orthotics.

Hereof, how much do arch supports cost from the Good Feet Store?

In general you can get great OTC arch supports for under $60 that we find are much more supportive than the ones from Good Feet at a fraction of the cost.

Likewise, what can I expect at the Good Feet Store? We never take a generic, one-size-fits all approach at The Good Feet Store. That’s because effective arch supports require a precision fit. First, your arch length is not the same as your shoe size.

What Goes Into Choosing The Right Orthotics

Best Running Shoes for Flat Feet

At a Good Feet Store location, they arent just picking arch supports off the shelf at random for you. They deserve that much credit.

They may ask you to walk on carbon paper to see how your foot makes contact with the ground. They may also talk with you about your activities and work, and how your foot pain is affecting your life.

These are good steps in an evaluation, but there is one thing an arch support specialist is not able to provide: an actual diagnosis of what is ailing your feet!

Orthotics can be very effective when prescribed and used properly, but they are not the solution to every cause of foot or heel pain out there. Some cases require other forms of treatment, such as rest or physical therapy. Orthotics might even be recommended in addition to other treatments for best results.

The best way to know how to properly address your foot painand often save a ton of time in the processis with the help of a specialist who has had years of education and training in the matter.

Thats why were here: to provide the personal, specialized care to meet each patients needsregardless of what that treatment may be. The ultimate goal of other places is to send you home in a pair of their arch supports, period. If they are the wrong supports, they can cause more harm than good.

And the cost of those supports? Well

Why Do We Need To See You

That means having one of our Arch Support Specialists properly measure your feet and take into account your lifestyle and arch size. We also focus on understanding your, shoe preferences, activities, and work environment.

How Much Do Good Feet Arch Supports Cost

The Good Feet Stores broad line of models, styles, and sizes of arch supports are designed to be personally fit, so the price is dependent on the particular product that best meets your needs. What To Expect at The Good Feet Store | In Step with Beth

If you have foot pain and want to find an over-the-counter, non-prescription arch supports, we have one final hint. We have looked at just about every non-prescription arch support on the market. With the help of medical experts, we have selected the very best. We have not found any reason for you to spend more than $85 for ANY non-prescription arch support.

Most run between $40 and $70. If you see any non-prescription devices selling for more than $85, talk to us or to your podiatrist before spending your money. Prescription orthotics will, of course, cost more, but you are getting much more for your money.

Everyone needs shoes and most of us have more pairs than we need. But how do you sell shoes to people that already have them? Whether it’s in a store or online , the answer is with expertise and a smile. Those two things will lead to brand new customers becoming lifetime customers, ensuring the success of your business.

How To Wear Inserts And Orthotics

Both over-the-counter inserts and custom orthotics should fit the contours of your shoe and feel comfortable. A packaged insert that rubs your foot in the store won’t get better at home. Prescription orthotics made from molds of your feet should fit quite well. If they don’t, tell your podiatrist.

Orthotics cost more than inserts. But when you get orthotics, you’re also getting a medical evaluation of your foot problem, a custom fit, and high quality materials that should last for several years with proper care. Since orthotics are prescription medical devices, your insurance company might help cover the cost. Check your plan.

You’ll need to schedule a follow up appointment with your podiatrist to make sure your orthotics work well for you. Hopefully you’ll find that your feet feel better. If not, be sure to let your podiatrist know.

I Buy Good Shoes But My Feet Still Hurt Can Arch Supports Help Me

Absolutely. Its common for people to think that their shoes are the problem, when in reality its often the foot thats going into the shoes thats the real source of discomfort. By stabilizing the foot with a good arch support, the pain and discomfort caused by common foot and foot-related problems can often be minimized or alleviated.

Are Good Feet Really In Store With Some Orthotics Providers

by Jeremy McVay, DPM | Mar 2, 2020

You likely know by now that not everything you see on TV should be taken at face value. Of course, we should probably add the Internet to that, tooand double it.

But when you are searching for something like help for chronic foot pain, many advertised solutions can look appealing. This includes places like The Good Feet Store and other outlets that say they specialize in arch supports and orthotics.

Such places often promote the wide variety of devices they have, and how they take the time to learn about you to find the right pair of orthoses for your needs.

This is well and good. But, in our opinion, its simply not enough serviceespecially at the prices these stores often charge!

A Very Similar Alternative

In a previous blog I compared Good Feet arch supports to Walkfit. Walkfit is a very similar device in shape to the standard Good Feet arch support in that it has a fairly low arch with a large metatarsal raise. In that blog I go into greater detail on why I give the arch supports from both Walkfit and Good Feet an overall poor review.

But in Walkfits favor, in my review of the devices I find that the Walkfit are essentially the same shape as the GoodFeet devices at about 1/10 of the price!

In that blog, you can also read an online discussion I had with a publicist from Good Feet who tried to argue my points.

You can see the Walkfit Arch Support here.

Now My Story The Good Feet Stores

Plantar Fasciitis Solutions is not about recommending products, but word of mouth and personal experience requires that I say something about the Good Feet Stores. People have asserted that their formula works. Ive found that it works. I know that some people have tried other orthotics approaches and found them satisfactory, and there even may be some who disagree with my positive assessment of Good Feet.

But heres that assessment. Good Feet shoe inserts and actually, some of the shoes I bought there have helped a great deal, and are my main footwear. Makes my feet feel so much better. Along with plantar-fasciitis-specific stretching exercises, in fact, I think its helped my self-cure along greatly. Nowadays I do a lot of hiking and dont wind up at the end of the day with a limp, like I was doing in the summer of 2012. Of course, in that summer I was hiking all day every day, but still. Good Feet is the best thing Ive found for footwear/orthotics.

Plantar fasciitis came at me in early 2012. However, as I spent that summer walking on my bad heel from daylight to dusk May-October in yet another mineral exploration field season on rough footing up and down mountainous terrain, I really place the beginning of my self-cure effort in November.

Over a year earlier, he said, he had gone to a specialized walking shoe store and what they gave him was worthless.

Are Employees Of The Good Feet Store Required To Wear Face Masks

Employees are required to follow all face mask and safety related mandates set by the stores state and local governments. All Good Feet Store employees have been provided face masks and gloves and have also been directed to follow proper hygiene habits and protocols as guided by the CDC. Contact your local store for more info.

We Provide Custom Orthotics When Needed

As we noted earlier, some patients have a condition so unique or severe that pre-fabricated orthotics likely arent going to do the job very well.

The feet are precise organic structures, and sometimes very precise amounts of cushioning and corrective support are needed to properly address an issue. There can also be special deformities in the picture, such as bunions or hammertoes, where weight may need to be distributed away from them instead of more evenly over the foot.

When such considerations need to be made, the stores cant help you much. You need a foot and ankle expert who can specifically diagnose the problem and provide the right customizations.

A custom orthotic is prescribed on an individual patient basis, much like eyeglasses are. We create a prescription using a mold or digital model of your feet, then send it to a lab for creation to exact specifications. Once they come back, we ensure they are correct and fit properly, then provide future adjustments, refurbishment, and replacements as necessary.

Plus, with insurance, your custom orthotics can cost similar to or less than what stores may charge for pre-fabs!
