How To Choose Wedding Shoes
When selecting your wedding shoes, be sure to consider the style, color, and length of your wedding dress. A classic white lace gown might call for elegant white heels, whereas a short ivory dress may allow you to make more of a statement with your shoes but in the end, its your call. Keep in mind that if youre wearing a wedding gown that trails on the ground, your feet may be barely visible.
While some brides will undoubtedly prioritize fashion over sore feet, others will opt for the most comfortable pair of wedding shoes. The reality is you might want to settle on a happy medium between the two. When making this important decision, factor in both your wedding venue and the weather particularly if any portion of your event will be held outdoors. Many a bride has regretted the decision to wear stilettos to a garden or beach wedding. If youll be making an entrance down a grand staircase, navigating ice or snow, or walking relatively long distances, make sure you are stable on your feet. You certainly dont want to trip or sprain an ankle on your Big Day!
In the end, if you just love the look of those incredible 4-inch Louboutins for your wedding photos, but cant imagine wearing them for the entire event, you can always change into a more practical pair of wedding shoes for the reception. After all, you dont want your extravagant footwear choices to keep you from dancing the night away.

Jesus Shoes With Actual Holy Water Inside Them Sell For $3000
They were created in collaboration with MSCHF, the Brooklyn creative agency that became famous for a purer sole pursuit in 2019: Jesus sneakers infused with holy water from the River Jordan. Lil Nas Xs sinful pair features a pentagram pendant, inverted crosses and Luke 10:18 stamped on the side the Bible verse references Satan like lightning from heaven.
Theyve since faced severe blowback from conservatives and Christians online as well as a lawsuit from Nike, which wants them destroyed amid boycott threats.
The uproar appealed to Josh Higgins, a 36-year-old software developer in Charlotte, North Carolina. He snatched them up, but purely as a show piece.
Im not a shoe collector, but I do collect records, said Higgins, who also owns Refresh Records, an indie record label. Coming from a music background, I thought this was a fun campaign, and I knew it was going to make waves. And they are cool-looking shoes.
He plans to display them alongside his pricey record collection.
But if they continue to go up in value, Id potentially sell them.
Ivan Villanueva, who owns streetwear resale shop Taille Pour Tous in Bergenfield, NJ, said the resale value will hold because of its wacky origin story.
The shoes were made purely for controversy, Villanueva told The Post.

Lil Nas X Satan Shoes Will Be Recalled As Part Of Settlement With Nike
Nike sued MSCHF Product Studio for trademark infringement over the black-and-red, devil-themed sneakers
Nike said on Thursday it has settled its lawsuit against the Brooklyn company that collaborated with Lil Nas X to produce his Satan Shoes, and that the shoes will be recalled.
The settlement with MSCHF Product Studio resolves a trademark infringement lawsuit that Nike filed last week over the black-and-red, devil-themed sneakers, which carry the Nike swoosh logo and cost $1,018 a pair.
MSCHFs shoes are customized versions of the Nike Air Max 97 sneakers, with midsoles purporting to contain one drop of human blood.
They are also printed with Luke 10:18, a biblical passage referring to Satans descent from heaven. Only 666 pairs were made.
Nike said MSCHF agreed to buy back any Satan Shoes and Jesus Shoes, which were launched in 2019 and also based on the Air Max 97, for their original retail prices, in order to remove them from circulation.
Controversy has followed the footwear ever since its release last month. Nike immediately sued MSCHF after the shoes were brought out as a tie-in with the rappers latest song and video, Montero . A judge subsequently blocked the shoes from being shipped to customers.

It has been claimed that performer Lil Nas X collaborated with Nike to release limited-edition Satan-themed shoes to continue the dark imagery seen throughout his recently released music video for MONTERO . His music video has stirred up quite the controversy as people have been criticizing him for glorifying Satanism and other taboo topics.
Due to his music video, Nas has been accused of corrupting the youth, with many stating that his audience is mostly underage. His young audience can be credited to the popularity of his song Old Town Road which became a hit on TikTok.
Lil Nas X responded to these accusations on Twitter. He wrote, There was no system involved. I made the decision to create the music video. I am an adult. I am not gonna spend my entire career trying to cater to your children. that is your job.

Lil Nas X’s Controversial ‘satan Shoes’ Sold Out In Under A Minute
Rapper and singer Lil Nas X’s “Satan Shoes” feature a bronze pentagram and an inverted cross containing a drop of actual human blood. They also come with a $1,018 price tag, but that didn’t stop fans from quickly buying up the exclusive kicks, which sold out immediately after going on sale on Monday. In fact, the entire inventory of the shoes sold out in less than a minute, according to the company that made them.
That inventory was relatively small, though. Only 666 pairs of the black and red sneakers were produced in the limited edition run. The $1,018 price attached to them is a reference to the Bible passage Luke 10:18, which reads: “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.” Naturally, all of the devil themes around the shoes have drawn the ire of some conservative pundits. And the controversy over the footwear also comes amid the equally provocative video for Lil Nas X’s new hit single, “Montero .”
Despite the presence of the infamous swoosh on the side, the shoes are not a direct design of Nike. Instead, it was New York-based art collective MSCHF who made “Satan Shoes” using Nike Air Max 97s. In a statement, Nike wrote: “Nike did not design or release these shoes and we do not endorse them.”
On Monday, Lil Nas X also released an “Extended Satan’s Version” of “Montero ,” which extends the music and lyrics to 2 minutes and 50 seconds, up from the original release’s 2 minutes and 17 seconds.

Judge Blocks Lil Nas Xs Satan Shoes From Shipping To Customers
Manufacturer MSCHF blocked from shipping out the 666 pairs of the shoes, which retailed at $1,018, to customers
A judge has blocked American singer Lil Nas Xs Satan Shoes from being shipped out to customers.
The controversial sneakers, which contained one drop of human blood and were made from modified Nike Air Max 97s, met with a lawsuit from Nike for infringing on and diluting its trademark.
Now a judge has blocked manufacturer MSCHF from shipping out the 666 pairs of the shoes, which retailed at $1,018 to customers. All pairs sold out within a minute of going on sale with Miley Cyrus recently being spotted wearing a pre-sale pair.
US district judge Eric Komitee has granted Nike a temporary restraining order preventing the shoes from being shipped to customers, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Nikes lawyers say that they have submitted evidence that even sophisticated sneakerheads were confused by the shoes, thinking they were made by Nike. And that we have submitted numerous evidence that some consumers are saying they will never buy Nike shoes ever again.
Meanwhile MSCHF says that the confusion is unlikely because of the sophistication of the Nike customer.
Citing The Rogers Test deriving from a copyright case Rogers v Grimaldi, MSCHF contend that the shoes are individually numbered works of art that were sold to collectors for $1,018 each and, like their previously released Jesus Shoes, will be exhibited in museums and collections.
Lil Nas Xs Trainer Collab With Nike And Mschf
On 26 March 2021, it was announced that Lil Nas X would be teaming up with MSCHF to create a limited edition trainer using Nike Air Max 97 shoes.
MSCHF are responsible for creating the Air Max 97 Jesus Shoes back in 2019.
This design features an all-black colourway with red embroidered detailing. There is also a bronze pentagram often linked to satanic worship clipped to the laces, hence their name, Satan Shoes.
The soles of each pair are filled with 60cc of red ink and one drop of human blood.

These satanic sneakers are breaking the Tenth Commandment: Thou shalt not covet.
The controversy surrounding them has only made sole searchers hungrier for the limited-edition kicks, which were purchased from Nike and then tricked out with demonic doodads and resold. A flurry of pre-emptive eBay listings have already popped up with prices topping out at $10,200.
The resale value is what tempted Vincent Gaglione, a sneakerhead with more than 300 pairs from Mastic, Long Island, to snatch them up.
Social media has a huge influence on this, Gaglione, 30, told The Post, adding that the shoe has transcended the esoteric sneaker collector world. Ten years ago this would have stayed in the sneakerhead community. But I even had my friends mother messaging me about these. And Lil Nas X has his own large following, so with someone like him, things go from zero to 100 really fast.
Miley Cyrus, whose father Billy Ray Cyrus collaborated with Lil Nas X on his hit, Old Town Road, fanned the flames by wearing the black-and-red kicks.
The sneakers, which are revamped Nike Air Max 97s, were released on the heels of Lil Nas Xs controversial music video, Montero , in which he slides down a stripper pole that leads to hell and twerks on the devil.
