This shoe is extremely comfortable. It comes in a low-cut structure that gives more comfort around the ankle. There are a lot of different retailers out there who sell Golden Goose, but my favorites are;Farfetch;and;SSENSE. I find that they have the most diverse selection. How Do They Run
I am a size 7, and in the Slide High-Top Zip, I am a 37 and in the Superstars, I am a 38. I know most would say they run TTS, but I think whole sizing can be a little tricky. I dont find them to stretch a ton- especially if you get a kind with glitter on the toe or tongue. If you are in-between sizes, if you get the high tops go down a size, if you get the Superstars, Id say go up a size.

About a year ago, I put a pair of golden goose sneakers on my wishlist, but felt like I could never justify a pair of sneakers that cost anywhere between $400 and $500 But, I loved how they looked and how they could go with so many different outfits. When chatting with yall on Instagram, several of you recommended the Purestar! After hearing about them being the most comfortable, I had to try them! Yall werent kidding! Of all three pairs, these are definitely the most comfortable straight out of the box. The insole has a memory-foam-like feel that is insanely comfortable. They are slightly heavier than the others, but if youre going strictly for comfort, these win!
Like the non-distressed Superstar, the style is a little more classic. Every version is all-white with a white star, but they do have several options for the back tab including glitter, blue, black, and the pink Im wearing! The platform is very on-trend without being overly clunky!;
Are Golden Goose Sneakers Worth The Price
So, I know this is what youre really here for. But truly, I cannot answer it for you. Personally, I wear sneakers nearly every day. A year or two ago that wasnt the case, but even if its just to walk to and from the bus stop, I am always wearing sneakers! So, I am willing to invest in a pair that I can wear daily and that will last me years. The cost per wear analysis makes sense. However if youre just looking for a fashion sneaker to wear every once in a while, they may not make sense to you and your budget! Its truly a personal decision!
I will say, however, that the craftsmanship of Golden Goose Sneakers is wonderful. They are handmade in Italy, and like I mentioned previously, the distressing is all done by hand! The leather is sturdy but soft. All-around they are a high quality shoe. Compared to other true designer sneakers, they are actually on the lower end price-wise.;

Heres the #1 thing that retailers dont tell you: the Superstar sneakers have a hidden wedge.
The hidden wedge inside is ~1.25.
This is a good thing if you want a little extra height or the support that a wedge can offer.
The wedge heel is comfortable to walk in. Its also removable, so you can easily swap it out for a flat one from Dr. Scholls if youd prefer.
The backs of these sneakers have a little cushion, which stops them from digging into the back of your ankle .
Golden Goose Superstar Sneakers weigh 654 grams or 1.44 lbs vs. Adidas Stan Smiths weigh 649 grams or 1.43 lbs basically, theyre super light for sneakers.
My Golden Goose Superstar sneakers didnt require any break in time because they are all ready pre-distressed.
They are perfectly comfortable walking in straight out of the box.
Cons To Golden Goose Sneakers
- Sizing can be tricky when you have to order online. I wear a 7 shoe and wear a 37 in Golden Goose with the exception of my first pair of high tops, I bought a 38. Even though all of mine are super comfortable and they do all fit slightly different from each other. This goes back to being handmade and hand distressed. Make sure you order from a reputable site that excepts returns in case you need to switch out sizes .
- Price. Even though I truly believe in cost per wear, its still not easy to hit the PAY button on such expensive sneakers. I get it, these are not for everyone and I certainly dont think they are a necessary purchase! If you love them and want a pair, go for it! You will love them! ;As with any item, dont feel the pressure to conform to fashion trends and spend money on things you dont REALLY REALLY love!
