The Closest Sandals Resorts To The Airport
Both Sandals Montego Bay and Sandals Royal Caribbean are both very close to the airport. If you want to start your vacation relaxing instead of spending time in a transfer, either of these resorts might be perfect for you.
Its important to note that both of these resort can experience some airport noise. It is typically not anything that changes your vacation experience, but its something to be mindful of. Sandals Montego Bay is a livelier resort so if you want close proximity to the airport and a quieter option, check out the overwater bungalows at Sandals Royal Caribbean.

We tried out every pool as they each had their own vibe. Our favorite was the main Riviera pool after the French pool volleyball game in the morning. The weather and drinks were fabulous! The hotel manager, Adrian Whitehead, served us drinks poolside and asked us about our stay. He was genuinely interested in wanting to ensure a great vacation. The Playmakers are a great group at this resort. They work well together. Chevron and Shavia were friendly and engaging. We really enjoyed the Michael Jackson and friends night in the Cabaret theater and the beach party. We went on the Catamaran cruise to Floyds

Sandals South Coast has 7 bars and 9 global gourmet restaurants, many of which overlook the beautiful beach. These include Italian, Asian, and Caribbean cuisines beachside Mediterranean and Jamaican seafood restaurants Sushi on the Sand the Jerk Shack and a Parisian café.
You can also opt for a private candlelight dinner on the beach, in a garden, or on your private patio or balcony.
Is There A Dress Code At The Secrets South Coast
Yes, there is a dress code for the restaurants on the resort. Its broken down into two different categories. We liked that Sandal kept it simple and only had two categories at the South coast. The categories are Resort Casual Attire and Resort Evening Elegant They do enforce the dress code in the restaurants, so be sure to pack accordingly.
Resort Casual Attire
This is a pretty wide category where you can pretty much wear what you want. The only caveat is that Swimwear must be covered, and shirts and footwear must be worn.
Resort Evening Elegant
This is obviously a little more dressy. For the Men, trousers must be worn. You can wear jeans and they must be worn with a long or short sleeve shirt. Sneakers or flip-flops cant be worn. For the women, there isnt a definition for what can be worn, but as a rule of thumb, wed recommend Sundresses, trousers or a nice blouse.

Dozens Of Activities And Amenities
The resort itself is spacious and spread out, with seven restaurants, six bars, two swim-up bars, three pools, four whirlpools, and a large entertainment area. Lining the two mile stretch of beach, amenities and activities are sprinkled among the accommodations. The Dutch village is in the middle, while the French village the quietest and farthest from the main entertainment area and restaurants, but both villages are built around their own pools with swim-up bars and beach areas. The Italian village is large and spread out, and is closest to the main pool and the Venetian plaza lined with restaurants and shops. A wide variety of water and land sports are available, including snorkeling, sailing, waterskiing, paddleboarding, beach volleyball, tennis, croquet, and billiards. Scuba lessons are offered, and divers who are already certified can dive for free. The Red Lane Spa features a modern fitness center and a large assortment of treatments, and guests can also have their massages on the beach. A stage and entertainment area host a variety of events, including talent shows, live music, cocktail parties, and theme nights. The wedding lounge attendants can help guests plan their special day or anniversary events, and gazebos are located all along the beach for wedding sites and private dining. Additionally, the resort offers laundry and dry cleaning services, photographers, gift shops, money exchanges, and rentable beach cabanas.

If youre simply looking to get away from it all and have your own secluded vacation, then Sandals South Coast located in Whitehouse and on the unexplored southern coast of Jamaica is my recommended option for you.
The stunning 2 mile beach is totally private, free of vendors and guests of other resorts, meaning you can walk for miles with the sand and ocean all to yourself.
All rooms are ocean facing, leading directly onto the beach, with views out over the ocean. Or you can choose to stay in one of the contemporary overwater bungalows, some of the few the Caribbean. You can even get married in the exclusive over-water chapel!
Snorkeling is one of my favorite ways to relax on vacation, and Jamaica is home to some amazing snorkeling spots.
